Luckily, most people will never know what it's like to be inside a hospital's intensive care unit.

Nor do they know what it's like to be in that ICU because without it,
your child may not make it through the next day - the next hour - the next minute.

Nor do they know what it's like to try and afford a long stay in the ICU,
balancing both family and work responsibilities, often in a unfamiliar hospital far away from home.

And thank God for that.

But for those of us who have, you realize very quick how the smallest of kind gestures make a world of difference.
